The ZK1090-3131-0005 EtherCAT cable is produced by Beckhoff. The cable is designed for high performance Ethernet based communication systems. It offers reliable data transmission and is suitable for industrial automation environments.
The plug features on the ZK1090 series cable are rated for 63 V and 4 A at 40 °C compliant with IEC 61076-2 standards. The plug consists of M8 connectors for both Head A and Head B. The plug configuration is straight with a 4-pin male contact type. The A-coded plug ensures compatibility with standard automation equipment. The plugs offer superior insulation resistance at ≥ 100 GΩ. The plugs are also shielded which further increases protection against signal interference. This EtherCAT cable has a rated voltage of 30 V and features high attenuation of shielding at ≥43 dB. The cable's insulation resistance is ≥ 150 MΩ/km, with a mutual capacitance of 51 pF/m at 1 kHz. The characteristic impedance is rated at 100 Ω ±15 Ω (at 100 MHz). It has a loop resistance of 250 Ω/km and a 2 % unbalanced resistance. The cable offers a dielectric strength of 1000 V DC and 700 V AC for both wire-to-wire and wire-to-shield configurations.
The ZK1090-3131-0005 EtherCAT cable is constructed with 19 x 0.1 mm tinned copper conductors and has a cross section of 1 x 4 x 0.14 mm² (AWG26). The outer cable diameter is 5.4 mm with a ± 0.3 mm tolerance. The cable's shielding is made of braided tinned copper wires offering 90 % optical coverage. It is drag-chain suitable allowing for up to 20 million cycles under specific conditions. The outer jacket is made of durable polyurethane (PUR), and the wire insulation is polypropylene (PP). The cable can operate at speeds up to 15 m/s and handle accelerations up to 10 m/s².
