The M2400 021 analog output module is designed for high performance industrial automation applications. The model offers up to four analog outputs with configurable voltage and current ranges. This module integrates seamlessly into fiber optic communication systems.
This M2400 series module features analog output specifications of ± 10 V and 0 to 20 mA with a 12-bit resolution for providing accurate signal conversion. The model’s rise time is 10 microseconds for rapid voltage change from – 10 V to + 10 V. The model allows up to 16 inputs or outputs configurable via DIP switches with LED indicators displaying the current I/O status. It supports input voltage switching between low (0 – 8 V) and high (15 – 24 V) and features input delays of 0.7 ms for the RC network and 6.8 ms for the input latch. Input and output power specifications include 24 V DC with a maximum output current of 500 mA. The module employs a watchdog system that resets the outputs in case of malfunction.
The M2400 021 analog output module’s physical construction is durable and housed in an aluminum profile cartridge. The model has dimensions of 270 mm × 76 mm × 68 mm and weighs about 1100 grams. It supports a wide operating temperature range from 0 °C to + 55 °C and can be safely stored between – 20 °C and + 70 °C. Its power supply operates on 24 V DC with an input current of 0.1 A. The data connection is established through a fiber optic I/O system. This allows for high speed communication at 2.5 MBaud with a 25-microsecond transmission rate for 32-bit data blocks. The model provides reliable and fast data transfer over long distances of up to 600 meters with glass fiber cables.
