Product Description

The KL3351-0000 from Beckhoff belongs to the KL Analog Input Series. This is a special input module with 2 inputs for 1 resistor bridge. Measuring applications, which need high-resolution input signals, make this module especially suitable. Its configurable range of signal voltage Ud is -16 to +16 mV, and its reference signal voltage is ±10 V. As Uref's internal resistance is larger than 200 kΩ, and Ud is larger than 1 MΩ, the readability will be definitely reliable, and therefore, the KL3351-0000 is excellent for industrial environments in which stability of measurements in analog must be guaranteed.

The KL3351-0000 analog input module has a programmable conversion time less than 250 ms, allowing the sampling rate to be changed at will. The A/D conversion is also done with a high resolution of 16-bit, meaning the analog voltages are represented very accurately. The device also offers a programmable 50 Hz filter, so it may be used with a wide range of input signals and filtering needs. This module also features a low measurement error of less than ±0.1% of the full scale, with high accuracy throughout its input range. In terms of power, the device is powered via the K-bus, using a typical current of 65 mA and makes no demand for external power contacts.

With a weight of approximately 70 g, the KL3351-0000 boasts an integrated bridge supply and works on 5 V DC with a max current of 20 mA, primarily targeted for applications where resistor bridges need to be powered. The module counts with 2 x 16-bit data inputs for robust data representation. The possibility of also allowing 2 x 8-bit control/status further unleashes opportunities.
