Product Description
The KL3208-0010 of Beckhoff is from the KL Analog Input Series. It is an 8-channel analog input module designed to measure several temperatures, as well as several resistances. It supports a variety of signals including, but not limited to, the following: resistance types and RTD types, such as PT100 and PT1000, KTY, NTC; however, among the possible applications, it could be applied in almost all industrial applications. The maximum signal resolution amounts to up to 16-bit. It has acceptable values for the scale that map to temperatures of temperature sensors like Pt100/1000, KTY, and RTD NTC, and its resistance ranges from 1 to 10 kOhm values and, therefore, is quite suitable for measuring resistances in all sorts of temperature ranges in many kinds of environments.
The KL3208-0010 allows sampling at a rate less than 0.1 ksps, and conversion time of greater than 10 ms. In this manner, the signal processing is quite fast yet rather accurate. In high-demanding applications noise immunity is provided by multiplex sampling with a differential reference at ground. Signal wiring comes through a connection in two wires with spring-loaded plug-in connections. It is rated for non-intrinsically safe environments and is suitable for gas environments in any one of the following zones: ATEX Zone 2 and IECEx Zone 2. This can be applied to a broader scope in hazardous locations.
The KL3208-0010 has a temperature range -25°C to +60°C and is rugged, ideal for the operation under rugged industrial conditions. Energy supply takes place via the K-bus for seamless integration into Beckhoff automation systems. In applications for precision measurement of temperature and resistance, it is a reliable choice with Beckhoff's reputation for quality and performance in automation technology.
