The KL3201-0000 is an analog input module based on the reliable KL Analog Input Series by manufacturer Beckhoff, and is optimized for use with all types of sensors for temperature measurements. Having 1 input, it is suited for Pt100, Pt200, Pt500, Pt1000, Ni100, Ni120, and Ni1000 sensors, and also conducts resistance measurements, which makes it a universal and convenient unit for applications that demand highly precise control of temperature.
This module has a high measuring range of -200°C to +850°C for Pt sensors and -60°C to +250°C for Ni sensors, meaning it can be used in extremely cold and hot environments. The connection type accommodates 2- or 3-wire configurations, with the default configuration for 3-wire, to allow adaptation according to user needs. It has a fast conversion time of around 200 ms, thus gathering data quicker and more accurately. The module provides measurement resolution 0.1°C per digit for highly resolved measurements with a smallest measurement error of less than ±1°C, therefore making it very sensitive to applications that require high temperature precision.
The KL3201-0000 is powered through the K-bus and with a current consumption of 60 mA, it is energy-efficient and makes it easy to integrate into existing systems. Its bit width in the process image is 1 x 16 bit data along with an optional 1 x 8 bit control/status, which makes it compatible with a wide range of control systems. The module operates within a range of -0°C to +55°C, while the storage temperature range is -25°C to +85°C, making it possible to apply it in various environmental conditions.
