The module KL1501-1002 from Beckhoff is the member of the series KL Analog Input Series. This module is used in high-performance industrial applications. It has 24 VDC nominal voltage. The module is quite reliable and efficient and functions satisfactorily across various automation settings. As a member of the EN 61131-2, Type 1, it is adaptable to several industry norms.

The KL1501-1002 is both 0 and 1 signal voltage tolerant with a 0 signal voltage range of -3…+5 V and a 1 signal voltage of 15…30 V, according to EN 61131-2, Type 1. This module can count at up to counting frequency of up to 100 kHz. The frequency is limited to 2 kHz for switching up/down processes. Its 32-bit counter depth allows for precise tracking and adding of counts over time. The module consumes a typical input current of 5 mA, comfortably within the requirements of EN 61131-2, Type 1.

The output side of the KL1501-1002 provides fully solid functionality with a max output current of 24 V/0.5 A per channel. The outputs are short-circuit proof and will thus endure and protect themselves in harsh conditions. Its current consumption on the K-bus is about 50 mA, while power contacts are used only with the application of load. It offers 40 inputs/outputs, with 32-bit data and 8-bit control/status. Rugged environment design, it is known for its vibration and shock resistance,meeting the requirements of EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 standards. Weighing about 50 g, the module is compact in size with easy-to-install characteristics. Its protection rating of IP20 protects against dust and other contamination.
