The Beckhoff ER3204-0002 is a robust EtherCAT Box from the series ER EtherCAT Box which is used for industrial temperature measurement. This module incorporates four channel RTD input for temperature measurement with RTD connectors such as Pt100, Pt1000 KTY and 1 – 4 K Ohm resistors and others. In this respect, ER3204-0002 is equipped with super 16-bit resolution signal acquisition thus offering reliable data on temperature application.

ER3204-0002 is enclosed in a robust zinc die-cast housing guaranteeing protection certifications IP65, IP66 and IP67 Certification. Therefore, the equipment is dust, water, and shock proof which means it is fit for the harsh conditions of industries. The module can function in a temperature region of -25°C to +60°C and has been designed for high shock and vibration conditions for long periods thereby increasing its service life. Such EtherCAT Box module is perfect for industrial applications of precision temperature measurement with high protection class and saving space.

The ER3204-0002 can join EtherCAT networks without any external coupler boxes due to it using the EtherCAT protocol. Its small dimensions (126 x 30 x 26.5 mm) and low weight allow its use in the majority of most populated places including mobile I/O racks on robotic arms. Despite sampling at less than 0.1 ksps with a conversion period of more than 10ms, the module guarantees accurate and timely measurements. The reference ground used for differential input ulster also improves the accuracy of the signal. It allows more convenient wiring ways like two wire, three wire and four wire to facilitate the installation and versatility of the device.
