The Beckhoff EPP4174-0002 EtherCAT P Box is a strong analog output module that is applicable in wide range of industrial areas. It has four analog output channels and is capable of handling both current and voltage signals, thus it is quite a useful device in carrying out automation functions. The module satisfies all basic performance requirements with respect to installation location making it a versatile industrial device. This module can be used in the severe conditions as its protection degree, IP65, IP66, IP67, prevents dirt, water and other damaging environmental factors.

Working temperature range for this module is within – 25 to + 60 degrees Celsius, EPP4174-0002 device is intended to work in the industry mainly because of the need of working at these extreme temperatures. It has 16-bit resolution time to consider that guarantees that it can provide correct output signal whether the application is 0…10 V, ±10 V, 0…20 mA signals or 4…20 mA signals. Owing to the multifunctional nature of the module, such attention is paid to the accuracy of the design of the low measurement, ranging from 0.1% – 0.5%.

This Beckhoff EPP4174-0002 can provide a fast conversion time of 100 µs or less and a sampling frequency of 10 ksps and maximum sampling frequency of 50 ksps. In addition to the functionality offered by the EPP4174-0002 it provides some other features that are important. It also uses Beckhoff’s XFC (eXtreme Fast Control) technology to a certain extent, which extends the usability of the unit for time critical applications.
