Product Description
The EPP3184-0002 is an IP67 EtherCAT P box with four analog input channels designed to be individually configured to process data within a specific input and current range. This product is manufactured by Beckhoff Automation, it is built on the already existing EtherCAT P communication technology, and it can be used in harsh conditions without any risk of machine failure. The EPP3184-0002 EtherCAT P box processes voltage or input current into digital signals and then transmits the signals to a high-level automation device at a resolution of 16 bits. Each input channel on this device is a single-ended input that shares a common internal ground potential. The input filter present on this product is configurable over a wide range; this means the conversion times are also very flexible. If required, the analog inputs can be scaled differently.
The EtherCAT P connection on the EPP3184-0002 occurs through an M8 socket which has a 4-pin interface, and a red color. There are distributed clocks that ensure that all slaves connected to the Box module are operated synchronously. The nominal supply voltage on this product is approximately 24 volts while the maximum sum current is 3 amperes. Each analog inputs on the module box are M12 sockets; the inputs also feature Status LEDs that help operators to monitor the connector status at that particular input channel.
The EPP3184-0002 EtherCAT P box is not vulnerable to vibrations, dust, and external interference. It can function optimally even in the presence of these elements. Without the connectors, the module box weighs a total of 165grams; it also has a width of 30 millimeters, a height of 126 millimeters, and a thickness of approximately 27 millimeters.
