Product Description
Beckhoff Automation is an industrial pioneer in the design, manufacture and distribution of technologies that improve automation processes while maintaining low cost. The company has more than 30 years of experience and has developed several devices used in various processes all over the world. The EPP2816-0010 is an EtherCAT P module box produced by Beckhoff Automation to improve on the EtherCAT P communication technology invented by the company in 2003. This box contains 16 digital channels which are M12 sockets that connect perfectly with 5-pin screwable a-coded connectors. Unlike traditional module boxes, each channel on this product can serve as either an input or output interface; they do not require any configuration to function.
The input circuitry in the EPP2816-0010 module box is internally hard-wired to the output driver to once an output is set, it is immediately displayed in the input process image. The mains filter used in the EPP2816-0010 channels is about 3.0 millisecond, the “0” signal voltage is between -3 to +5 volts, while the “1” signal voltage is between 11 to 30 volts. Load types compatible with the EPP2816-0010 module box include the ohmic, inductive and lamp load; also, the rated load voltage is 24 volts.
The housing material of this product is polyamide, this material has a very high mechanical strength and can easily resist chemicals that might cause product deterioration. Polyurethane is also used as the sealing compound for the housing. The EPP2816-0010 module box weights 0.25 kilograms and allows for variable mounting. The maximum ambient temperature suited to the product is about 60 degrees Celsius. During transportation and storage, the ambient temperature around this product can be as high as 80 degrees.
