The EP3184-1002 digital input module offers precision and versatility for modern industrial automation applications. As part of Beckhoff's high-performance EP Digital Input Series, it provides 16-bit resolution and a maximum measurement error of less than 0.3% for accurate readings. The module accommodates up to four single-ended inputs through robust M12 connections, with each channel supporting signals ranging from -10/0 to +10 volts as well as common 4-20 mA process signals. This flexibility allows the EP3184-1002 to interface seamlessly with a wide array of existing field instrumentation.
This module carries out conversions rapidly at approximately 100 microseconds, sampling inputs up to 5 kHz to capture fast-moving processes. Its configurable input filter helps prevent signal interference or noise from distorting measurements. All data transfers occur over EtherCAT, enabling high-speed communication for real-time control. Additional features like distributed clocks further synchronize automation systems down to the microsecond. All connections utilize shielded M8 and M12 connectors for robust electrical connectivity and protection against potential interference.
