Product Description

The EM7004-0000 is an EtherCAT module produced by Beckhoff Automation. This module interface is optimized for the simultaneous connection of four servo drives. It features four integrated incremental encoders and is renowned for its high operation accuracy. For fast operation pre-processing, the digital output on this product can be connected directly through the incremental encoders. This function is parameterizable; all outputs operate with a 24-volt power supply. The plug connectors are galvanically isolated from each other and from the supply voltage. The minimum cycle time for this product is about 1 millisecond, while the typical current consumed via the E-bus is 280 milliamperes. The protection rating of this product is according to IP20; this means the product housing can only provide protection against large solid materials. The product should be installed in an additional control cabinet for optimum protection.

The EM7004-0000 can withstand mild vibrations according to EN 60068-2-6/EN 60068-2-27, it also has an EMC immunity that conforms to EN 61000-6-1/EN 61000-6-4.
