This module design is multi-functional, and its input circuit can be set to over 30 different types of electrical connections via EtherCAT. This multi-functional design makes the terminal suited for thermocouples and Integrated Electronics Piezo Electric (IEPE) sensors. The product also supports a resistant measurement of 5 kilowatts, measuring bridges and potentiometers. This single product can solve multiple electrical measuring tasks.

The ELM3704-0000 features four separate channels each of which can be parameterized independently. The product is also equipped with a push-in service plug in connection type ideal for applications where the plug is not removed frequently and fast wiring is prioritized. The big resolution of this product is about 24 bits, while the current consumption E-bus is approximately 890 milliamperes. The product also has a total weight of about 0.35 kilograms.

The permissible operating temperature for the ELM3704-0000 EtherCAT terminal is between 0 to 55 degrees during storage and transportation; however, the product can be kept in temperatures as high as 85 degrees Celsius.
