Product Description
The EL7332 device is a servomotor terminal offered by Beckhoff. These products showcase Beckhoff's commitment to delivering compact, high-performance solutions that simplify complex automation tasks while ensuring maximum safety and operational reliability.
The EL7332 EtherCAT terminal is designed for the direct operation of two DC motors, featuring galvanic isolation from the E-bus for enhanced operational safety and reliability. It employs compact drive technology, connecting directly to DC brush motors with inductive load types. The terminal module operates with a 24 V DC supply voltage for both electronics and power, provided internally via power contacts. Each channel can output a maximum current of 1 A, which can be increased to 3 A per channel with the addition of a ZB8610 fan cartridge, boosting performance. The motor speed is precisely controlled by a 16-bit value from the automation unit, and the PWM clock frequency is set at 32 kHz with a 180? phase shift for each channel, ensuring smooth and efficient motor operation. The EL7332 is equipped with advanced features to enhance usability and functionality. Each of the two channels includes one end position input, facilitating precise travel distance control. The output stages are protected against overload and short-circuit, with a common thermal overload warning applying to both stages collectively, ensuring reliable operation under various conditions.
The EL7332 EtherCAT terminal is constructed with a compact terminal housing made of polycarbonate, and measures 12 mm in width, 100 mm in height, and 68 mm in depth. It is designed for easy installation on a 35 mm DIN rail, conforming to EN 60715 with a locking mechanism. The terminal has a current load power contact capacity of up to 10 A, ensuring robust power delivery for demanding applications. The module is designed to accommodate various connection cross-sections, including AWG sizes 28 to 14 for solid and flexible conductors and AWG 26 to 16 for ferrules.
