Product Description
The Beckhoff is well-known for providing advanced automation solutions that improve performance in industrial automation systems. Beckhoff has developed the EL7211-9014, a high-performance EtherCAT terminal designed to drive servomotors in a variety of automation systems. The EL7211-9014 integrates advanced features that ensure efficient motor control and simplified wiring.
The EL7211-9014 terminal is designed to work on a 24 V DC supply alongside a power supply range of 8 degrees CE"48 V DC. It can deliver a continuous output current of 4.5 A (rms) and handle peak currents for 1 second of up to 9A. This terminal is optimized for use with permanent magnet-excited three-phase synchronous motors and features a current controller frequency of 32 kHz and a 16 kHz PWM clock frequency. The terminal has an STO feature to ensure safety compliance at Cat. 3, PL d levels. The EL7211-9014 includes One Cable Technology (OCT) that simplifies installation by combining power and feedback into one cable and supports motor brakes with a 24 V DC output at a maximum current of 0.5 A. The compact design measures 12mm x 100mm x 68mm and has a polycarbonate body with an IP20 protection rating.
The EL7211-9014 EtherCAT terminal has a current consumption of 100 mA + holding current for power contacts and 120 mA for the E-bus. The terminal can operate at 0 to +55 degrees C and withstand vibration and shock according to EN 60068-2-6/27. The EL7211-9014 illustrates Beckhoff's commitment to innovation by providing a cutting-edge solution that improves control and efficiency. The terminal features Distributed Clocks for precise synchronization and 16 LEDs for status indication. The terminal is mountable on a 35 mm DIN rail in compliance with EN 60715 that aids in easy installation.
