Product Description
The EL7037 is a member of the ELXXXX family of the EtherCAT Terminal system by Beckhoff. The EtherCAT Terminal is not only a modular input/output system that consists of electronic terminal blocks. It features a connection level that is in just one enclosure. Generally, EtherCAT Terminals allow bit-precise composition for the needed I/O channels due to its granularity. The terminals can have either 2, 4, 8, or 16 channels.
The EL7037 terminal is specifically for stepper motors that have a low-performance range. Owing to its PWM output stages, it accommodates different voltages and currents. It is customizable to suit a specific motor alongside the application by varying some parameters. The terminal works well with an AS2000 stepper motor, which has a torsion-proof integrated encoder (1,024 inc/rev). The EL7037 terminal uses the direct motor connection technology and accepts a uni- or bipolar stepper motor load. Power supply to the terminal is 24 V DC through the E-bus or power contacts, while the nominal voltage is 24 V DC (-15% / +20%). The output can be one stepper motor, with 2-phase, 1-brake configurable (0.5 A), and a maximum current of 1.5 A.
The output current can increase to 3.0 A if used with ZB8610. It has a current controller frequency of about 30 kHz and a maximum step frequency of 1000, 2000, 4000, 8000, or 16,000 full steps. As for its step pattern, it’s a 64-fold micro-stepping. It has a resolution of about 5000 positions, electrical isolation of 500 V, and an encoder input signal of 5…24 V DC, 5 mA, single-ended. The operating and storage temperature are 0…+55 oC/-25…+85 oC, respectively. Its relative humidity is 95% (no condensation). It follows the EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 vibration and shock resistance, respectively. The terminals are IP 20 protected and have CE and UL approvals. This product can be purchased from Wake Industrial with a one-year warranty period
