Product Description
The EL6752 is a master terminal for DeviceNet that is manufactured by Beckhoff Company. It utilizes the EtherCAT connection which eliminates the use of PCI slots in the PC. The EtherCAT network enables the integration of any DeviceNet device. The protocol implementation comes with numerous features such as unconnected message manager, error management for each bus device, parameter and diagnostics interfaces, and the support of all I/O modes namely strobed, cyclic, change of state, and polling. It has Run LED, status LEDs, and DeviceNet parts.
The EL6752 has a single Fieldbus channel and data transfer rates ranging from 125, 250 to 500 kbaud. The bus interface utilizes the Open style 5-pin connector which connects a maximum of 63 slaves. Communication is via DeviceNet network master (scanner). The power supply is via E-bus which has a current consumption of 260mA and 500V electrical isolation. Configuration of this device is via the TwinCAT System manager. It measures 26 mm x 100mm x 52 mm (W x H x D) and weighs at least 70 grams. Some of the approvals of this Beckhoff terminal include ATEX and CE.
The EL6752’s permissible ambient temperatures are -40 to 85 degrees Celsius for storage and -25 to 60 degrees Celsius for operation (extended range). Relative humidity should not exceed 95% and should be free from condensation. Since it comes with an IP 20 class protection, it should be installed in a terminal box that meets IP 54 degree of protection. Only individuals trained in control and automation engineering should operate the EL6752. The operator should be well-versed with a country’s guidelines, standards, regulations, and relevant laws.
