Product Description
Beckhoff Company manufactures the EL6751-0010 slave terminal for CANopen. The terminal uses EtherCAT connection which mitigates the need for PCI slots in the PC. Thanks to the terminal CAN messages can be sent and received without disrupting the CAN frames in any application program. It comes with a powerful protocol implementation that comes with much-needed features.
Features include an online bus load display, powerful parameter and diagnostics interfaces, emergency heartbeat, guarding, and message handling. Other features include parameter communication at start-up and runtime, synchronization with the controller task cycle of the PC, and zero cumulative jitter. The EL6751-0010 uses process data objects (PDO) for faster communication of the input and output data. Communication types that are supported by the EL6751-0010 include Event-driven, Requested, and Cyclic synchronous. Mounting this Beckhoff terminal can be achieved via two DIN rails namely DIN Rail TH 35-7.5 with 1 mm material thickness and DIN Rail TH 35-15 with 1.5mm material thickness. Avoid stringing more than two passive terminals since doing so significantly hampers data transfer.
The EL6751-0010 features a CANopen bus system, one Fieldbus channel, and a wide range of data transfer rates ranging from 10, 20, 50,100, or 1000kbaud. It can support a maximum of 127 slave bus devices that are connected to the bus interface via a D-sub 9-pole connector. Communication in the EL6751-0010 is via CANopen slave. Its vibration resistance conforms to EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 while EMC immunity conforms to EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4.
