The EL7342-0035 features integrated encoder support to provide real-time feedback on motor position and speed, ensuring optimal performance in various automation tasks. It is part of the Beckhoff range of Ethercat terminals designed to enable precise motion management of two DC motors. It features two channels allowing for the simultaneous control of two DC brush motors. Each channel enables independent operation and precise management of motor functions with one output each for a DC motor. This dual-channel capability makes the terminal well-suited for applications that require coordinated movement.
The EL7342-0035 provides flexible options for power configuration, accommodating a wide voltage range of 8 to 48 VDC. The terminal ensures a 3.5 A current per channel enabling it to control the connected motors effectively. It features a PWM clock frequency of 32 kHz, with each channel operating at a 180° phase shift. This high-frequency PWM control allows for smooth and precise control of motor speed and torque, minimizing noise and vibration during operation. The 180° phase shift between the channels ensures synchronized control of the two DC brush motors, enhancing performance in demanding applications.
The terminal boasts travel distance control capability allows for precise management of motor movement over specified distances, enhancing application efficiency and accuracy. It also conforms to EMC immunity and emission standards EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4, ensuring reliable operation in environments with electromagnetic disturbances. It is designed to provide an easy installation experience accommodating mounting on standard DIN rails or installation in control cabinets alongside other terminals. The terminal’s resistance to mechanical stresses like shocks and vibrations means that it is suited for challenging environments. Its IP 20 protection level offers resistance to solid contaminants and ensures reliable performance in diverse conditions.
