Product Description
The EL7201-0000 is a versatile EtherCAT Terminal designed by Beckhoff for use in motion control applications. It comes with an integrated resolver interface to ensure seamless measurement of the connected motor’s position and speed without needing extra parts. This makes it easier to set up and use in complex systems. It connects directly to the EtherCAT network, allowing fast communication and control with minimal wiring. The terminal utilizes compact drive technology, which integrates the motor control and essential electronics into a small, space-saving unit. This allows it to deliver precise motor control even in applications with limited space.
The EL7201-0000 is designed to handle permanent magnet-excited three-phase synchronous motors and features one feedback input to receive real-time data from the motor. The terminal features one channel, providing a single output for motor control. It also has one output for a servomotor, allowing precise control of the motor's movements, and a single output for a motor brake. This setup offers both dynamic motor control and safety features, making it ideal for precise and reliable automation tasks. The unit provides an output current of 2.8 A. It also supports a peak current of up to 5.7 A for 1 second, which is useful for handling short bursts of higher demand.
The terminal supports a rotating field frequency range of 0 to 599 Hz, enabling it to control the speed and movement of the connected servomotor with high precision. Additionally, it features a PWM clock frequency of 16 kHz, which ensures smooth and efficient motor control by rapidly switching the power supplied to the motor. The terminal provides an output voltage of 24 V DC and a maximum output current of 0.5 A for the motor brake.
