The EL6731-0010 EtherCAT terminal functions as a PROFIBUS slave terminal, supporting both standard PROFIBUS DP and PROFIBUS DP-V1 protocols. It facilitates communication with a wide range of PROFIBUS devices, including those requiring acyclic services and alarm functionalities. By integrating with EtherCAT systems, It enhances real-time data exchange and system performance in automation applications. It offers a single fieldbus channel for direct communication with a PROFIBUS network, simplifying the integration process. The terminal can send and receive up to 244 bytes of information at a time, ensuring that enough data can be processed efficiently.

The EL6731-0010 has one D-sub port that features 9 pins and is galvanically decoupled. The galvanic isolation protects the terminal separating its internal circuits from the external connections.
