Beckhoff EtherCAT terminal EL6021-0021 is an integral part of the EL EtherCAT Terminal Series that is aimed at enhancing the stability of the communication networks in the industrial automation processes. This terminal comes with an industrial-grade RS422/RS485 interface to support long distance communication with minimal loss of data. It comes complete with a data buffer that offers an amazing 864 bytes for data reception and 128 bytes for data transmission making it ideal for applications that demand a lot of data processing power. Another important factor distinguished by the EL6021-0021 is that it accommodates cable transmission up to about 1000 meters, should the cables used are twisted pair. This extended range makes possible flexibility in the arrangement of industrial systems since it is possible to place the devices far apart and still have effective communication. It is highly effective in its current operational power, with an average of 170 mA through the E-bus available without compromising power consumption.
