Product Description

The EL3154-0017 is a state-of-the-art analog input terminal produced by Beckhoff Automation according to international quality standards. This product is designed to process input signal current that is within the range of 4 to about 30 milliamperes; it digitalizes this current and transmits it to an automation device while maintaining an impressive degree of electrical isolation. The input electronics present in this product are designed to be independent of the supply voltage of the power contacts. There are four analog inputs on this product; the 24-volt power contact is connected to the terminal to enable the connection of 2-wire sensors without an external supply. There are different types of Light Emitting Diodes present on this product; some of these diodes help operators monitor the signal state of the power contact, while others indicate the overload condition and alert operators to any broken wire in the connection.

The current inputs of the EL3154-0017 are protected against damage by overcurrent through the internal current limitation. If there is any risk of overcurrent, this is displayed as “Overcurrent” in the process image. If the error condition persists for a longer period, the internal terminal current limitation automatically reduces the current of the absorbed signals. The operation resolution of this product is 16 bits, while the sampling type is multiplex.

Housing of the EL3154-0017 EtherCAT terminal is made from polycarbonate. The product is measured to be about 12 millimeters wide, 100 millimeters tall, and with a depth of 68 millimeters. This terminal works with distributed clocks, each of which maintains a precision of less than 1 microseconds. After delivery, operators do not need to carry out any type of configuration on this product; it can simply be installed and set up for operation. The total weight of the terminal is 60 grams.
