Product Description

The EL3152-0017 is a sophisticated EtherCAT Terminal that has two analog input channels and operates with input current that falls within the range of 4 to about 20 milliamperes. The function of this product is to supply electrical power to measuring transducers used by customers in the field and to transmit analog measurement signals with electrical isolation to automation devices. The EL3152-0017 supplies connected sensors with voltage through the power contacts. The power contacts are designed to provide customers with the option of supplying operating voltage in the conventional standard way through the use of a supply terminal with reliable electrical isolation. The input electronics on this product are designed to be independent of the supply voltage of the power contacts. Also, the reference potential for the input voltage is the 0 volts power contact.

The EL3152-0017 EtherCAT Terminal indicates its signal state through the Light Emitting diodes integrated into its housing unit; these diodes also provide information about errors such as overload conditions and broken wire. The internal resistance in the EL3152-0017 is about 85 ohms plus the diode voltage. During the operation of this product, the sampling type occurs simultaneously, while the ground reference is single-ended. The time it takes for conversion to occur on this product is approximately 50 microseconds; if the product is being used in fast mode, this conversion time reduces to about 35 microseconds.

The EL3152-0017 allows for the consumption of up to 170 milliamperes of current through the E-bus; there are also distributed clocks that work with a precision value that is less than 1 microsecond. The dielectric strength of this product can reach a maximum of 30 volts, while the total weight is about 60 grams.
