Product Description
The EL3124-0090 is an industrial analog input EtherCAT terminal that is designed to handle process signals that fall within the range of 4 to about 20 milliamperes. It converts the current into a digital form to a resolution of 16 bits and transmits this digitalized signal in an electrically isolated form to the higher-level automation device connected to it. This product is built with about four input channels, all of which feature a common internal grounded potential. Upon installation and operation, the EL3124-0090 can automatically detect open lead or overload current and communicate this anomaly to operators by flashing warning signals through the error signals integrated into its housing unit. This analog EtherCAT terminal does not require any configuration settings before operation. Also, it maintains an approximate conversion time of about 100 microseconds.
The EL3124-0090 analog input EtherCAT Terminal operates with a multiplex sampling type and an input filter limit frequency of about 5 kilohertz. Also, the electronic supply voltage is delivered through the E-bus on the device. The estimated measurement error for this product when it is being used at an ambient temperature that is between 0 to 55-degree Celsius is less than 0.3 per cent; this value increases to 0.5 per cent when the product is operated at an ambient temperature higher than the specified temperature range.
The current consumption at the E-bus on the EL3124-0090 is about 130 milliamperes, while the electrical isolation voltage is about 500 volts. The EL3124-0090 does not generate a lot of heat during operation, and its operation temperature is easily regulated via natural convection. The bit width for the process image for this device is 4 x 16 bits, while it is 4 x6 bits for the status signal.
