Product Description
A relay output terminal which is meant for switching of low voltage loads in a reliable and efficient manner is the Beckhoff EL2624-0000. This particular member of ‘make contacts’ 4. This relay can support a nominal voltage of 125 V AC / 30 V DC which makes it an ideal candidate for throttling ohmic loads in various automation procedures in the industrial sector. Roughly 50 grams in weight, this particular terminal has a relatively small size and is designed within the IP20 protection rating, being intended for controlled environments.
For AC applications, a maximum switching current which is allowed for each channel is 0.5 A, whilst for DC applications this channel limit is 2 A. This terminal is also able to switch very low loads as there is a minimum of 10 µA at 10 mV DC which is permitted load, meaning that sensitive circuits will work as intended. It is claimed to have over 200,000 electrical operating cycles at 1 A/30 V DC or over 100 million mechanical cycles.
The ethnocentric design incorporates various features into the EL2624-0000 allowing easy integration with EtherCAT Networks. When integrated into a system the terminal draws a current of 200 mA from the E-bus whilst providing four outputs in the process image. IP rating of the unit for enclosure protection conforms to IP40 standard and ambient temperatures in the operational range follows EN 60068-2-6 and EN 60068-2-27 standards for mechanical strength in vibration and shock resistance, ensuring reliability in performance demanding settings. In addition, it complies with electromagnetic emission and immunity standards EN 61000-6-2 and EN 61000-6-4, which allows the operation in areas with electrical noise which are found in industrial applications.
