Product Description
Beckhoff EtherCAT terminal EL2521/PL3 is of unprecedented performance due to its RS422 differential output specification and it has two differential outputs for a single channel. Thanks to its high level of construction, the device can perform pulse output functions, including frequency modulation and control of a travel distance in automation systems, where it is necessary to regulate the speed of the motor and its position. Another feature of the terminal is to coordinate the distributed clocks, which largely affects the level of synchronization accuracy within the system. This capability is very important especially in high performance systems where timing has to be very critical in order to achieve the best result. The EL2521/PL3 is designed to work with a base frequency of 0 to 500 kHz, break pulses at high speed in various industries, and provides a modulation function.
Physically, the EL2521/PL3 comes with a slim design that weighs only 50 grams, while being packed with operating features. As an additional feature, it includes pluggable wiring for any ESxxxx terminal that can be advantageous to its application and integration to existing systems. The maximum output current of the terminal is 0.5A which is sufficient to provide the power of high intensity without causing a reduction in performance.
This terminal has been developed by Beckhoff to capture the propensity of settings in industrial practices. Its RS422 specification is provided for reliable differential signal transmission hence minimizing the probability of signal interferences or losses. Due to the high accuracy, universal use, and simple mounting, the EL2521/PL3 is perfect for uses requiring smooth motion control, which is perfect for manufacturing, robotics, and automation industries.
