Product Description

Beckhoff has been in the automation manufacturing industry for several years now. They are renowned for their high-quality and reliable products. Their line of products includes industrial PCs, I/O devices, EtherCAT couplers and extensions. The EK1310 is one of Beckhoff’s EtherCAT P extensions. It is known for its reliability, durability and simplicity.

The EK1310 is a single port EtherCAT P extension with feed-in. This component can covert EtherCAT to EtherCAT P or extend an EtherCAT P network. The EtherCAT P is optimized for process data being transmitted within the ethernet frame. Terminal points on the EK1310 are used to supply the US and UP for the EtherCAT P circuit. This EtherCAT P extension has a current rating per port of maximum 3 A. It weight approximately 120 g with a dimension of 44 mm x 100 mm x 68 mm (W x H x D). The recommended operating temperature is between 0˚C to 55˚C with a storage temperature between -25˚C to 85˚C. The EK1310 can carry all EtherCAT protocols and has a Baud rate of 100 MBaud with a delay of approximately 1µs.

The EK1310 EtherCAT P extension has vibrations that conform to EN 60068-2-6 and has an IP20 rating. The IP20 rating indicates that the device has rudimentary dust protection and can withstand basic touch. The EK1310 has one M8 socket that is shielded, screw type and P-coded. It also has integrated distributed clocks. The clocks provide accurate synchronization in cases where spatially distributed processes require simulation actions. For effective functioning, the clocks must be synchronized according to the new IEEE 1588 standard.  The EK1310 can be connected to other connectors and cordsets.
