Product Description

The EK1121-0010 is a 1-port EtherCAT Extended Distance Junction from Beckhoff. The manufacturer is known around the world for producing Industrial PCs and PC Control technology. The extended distance junction is one of the 1100 series couplers from Beckhoff. Its task is the coupling of 100BASE-TX EtherCAT networks. The coupler transfers data through a shielded copper wire. The maximum distance between stations is 300 m.  Minimal delay at approximately 1 µs.

The EK1121-0010 can be installed at any point in an EtherCat segment between the EtherCat Terminals (ELxxxx). The EtherCAT junction is connected via an RJ45 socket. The link and activity status are conveniently displayed at the port next to the Run LED. It transfers data at a rate of 100Mbit/s no configuration is required. The bus interface is the one RJ45 socket. The power is supplied to the coupler through the E-bus. Typical power consumption can be expected to be approximately 160 mA. Ultra-lightweight at only 65 g. The device operates perfectly in 0 to 55-degree Celsius temperatures and can be stored at temperatures from -25 to 85-degrees Celsius.

The coupler conforms to EN 60068-2-6/EN 60068-2-27 vibration and shock resistance testing and conforms to EN 61000-6-2/EN 61000-6-4 EMC immunity and emission standards. It can be combined with a number of products in the EtherCAT line of accessories from Beckhoff. It is mounted on 35 mm C-rail, conforming to EN 60715 with lock. It can also be side by side-mounted with double slot and key connection. The EK1121-0010 has standard terminal block marking. The specific push-in connection offers easy installation.
