Product Description

The EK1101-0008 from Beckhoff Automation is an EtherCAT coupler. The bus coupler comes with an M8 connection and an ID switch. This product is one of the several such couplers from the manufacturer in the EK1100 series. It is equipped with two M8 sockets that offer compatibility with the ones on the EtherCAT box modules or terminals with EtherCAT networks. The device transfers data using shielded Ethernet/EtherCAT cables. The unit supports the connection of an added terminal to its right and a higher-level network to its left. The coupler provides the terminals that are connected to it with the E-bus current that is required for communication purposes. The EK1101-0008 device comes with a one-year warranty period.

The upper Ethernet interface of the bus coupler helps in establishing connectivity with a network. The power contacts have a maximum current rating of 10A and a maximum voltage rating of 24VDC. The product is cULus Listed and CE Certified. The EK1101-0008 coupler has a typical delay of 1µs.
