The EK9300 from Beckhoff is one of the EtherCAT Coupler Series, the EtherCAT Coupler that can couple standard digital and analog EtherCAT Terminals and EtherCAT Box modules with PROFINET RT networks.

This multi-functional unit allows a combination of the peripheral signals with EtherCAT terminals, the number of which can be installed based on the capacity of the process data. It uses the PROFINET RT protocol and has a data transfer rate of 100Mbps. The EK9300 offers two RJ45 bus interfaces to facilitate ease in network control and further extension. The power supply recommended is 24V DC with an allowable deviation of 15% down and 20% up, catering to any industrial environment. The normal input current is about 120 mA plus one-fourth of the total E-Bus current and it can handle up to 2A on the E-Bus. The power contacts can also tolerate a maximum of 24V DC and 10A. The physical size of the EK9300 is 64mm(width) x 100mm(height) x 73mm(depth). It is intended to function efficiently in temperatures of -25 to +60 degrees Celsius but can be stored in conditions of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius.
