CX8000 Embedded PC Series

The CX8000 Embedded PC Series by Beckhoff is characterized by devices equipped with a 32-bit ARM-based processor. The units are fanless and operate with low electrical power consumption. The PCs in this series can be used for processing PLC programs or as slave devices for fieldbus systems. CX8000 devices implement the use of an Ethernet interface to be used for connecting the control system with a regular network. Microsoft Windows Embedded CE serves as the operating system for this series and TwinCAT 2 software is used for system configuration and PLC programming. CX8000 devices feature an integrated capacitive 1-second UPS which provides energy for backup in the event of a failure of the supply voltage.
