The CX5140-0110 embedded PC from Beckhoff Automation GmbH operates as a control system. The embedded device uses Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system. The CX5100 series product encompasses a DVI-I interface and four USB 2.0 ports. The system is integrated with a 1.9GHz clocking frequency Intel Atom processor and 1-second UPS persistent memory. The unit makes use of LEDs for diagnosing the bus status, flash access, TC status and power supply. It is used along with a bus terminal to record analog or digital signals from sensors.
The embedded PC offers protection against foreign objects and finger protection. The device should be installed in a housing that offers IP54 protection according to EN 60079-15 requirements. It must not be used in aggressive and potentially explosive environments. The unit should be protected against unintentional or unauthorized switching on or access by changing the default password of the system. The product features a 24VDC power supply and an E-bus or K-bus I/O connection that is recognized automatically.
The device features a current supply of 2A for the E-bus or K-bus connection and maximum power consumption of 16W without load. The battery of the embedded PC must be removed if it is stored at a temperature above+60°C. The removed battery should be stored in a dry environment away from the system between a temperature range of 0°C and +30°C. The power supply terminal is fitted on the right-hand side of the embedded PC. The battery compartment is housed under the front flap. The product is CE Certified.
