The CX5130-0115 embedded PC is a control system from Beckhoff Automation. The module comes with a compact and fan-less design. The control system features low power consumption of 14W. It encompasses an Intel Atom® E3827 dual-core processor. The processor has a clocking frequency of 1.75GHz. This helps to incorporate multi-core technologies. This PC utilizes the Windows Embedded Compact 7 operating system and TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR) control software.
The embedded PC features 4GB DDR3 RAM and integrated 1-second UPS persistent memory. The system also has separate slots for a CFast card and a microSD card. The unit should be mounted on DIN rails in a terminal box or cabinet. It is intended for working environments that meet IP20 protection class requirements. The accessory must not be used in potentially explosive environments. The control system encompasses a K-bus or an E-bus I/O connection with automatic recognition. Operating temperatures should remain between -25 and +60 degrees Celsius, and for storage at a temperature range of -40 to +85 degrees Celsius. The battery should be removed if the unit is stored at a temperature of more than 60°C.
The control system comprises a power supply terminal on the right side to connect a 24VDC power supply unit. The unit can act as a PLC with a maximum of four user tasks when it is used with the TwinCAT automation software. The housing of the embedded PC has a nameplate on the left side that gives various details such as CE compliance, UL approval, serial number, hardware version, MAC addresses of Ethernet ports, power supply unit information and more. The device is integrated with four USB interfaces that are independent of each other. The embedded PC can be shipped to any country in the world and it includes a one-year warranty period.
