Product Description
Beckhoff embedded PCs have improved the performance of software-controlled tasks by employing specially-built computing platforms. To quickly and efficiently meet customers’ requirements, Beckhoff uses in-house built industrial motherboards. Beckhoff industrial motherboards employ emerging technologies in the personal computers market and a proprietary Basic Input Output System. The Beckhoff embedded PCs belonging to the CX series, for example, combine modular Input Output level and PC technology to produce a DIN rail-mounted unit that can fit efficiently into a control cabinet. The Beckhoff CX family of embedded computers is designed to meet the computing needs of industrial computers.
The Beckhoff CX5120-0155 is an embedded PC in the Beckhoff CX5120 series in the CX5100 family. Embedded computers in the CX5120 family are powered by an Intel Atom E3815 processor with a speed of 1.46 giga Hertz. The CX5120-0155 has a rated operating temperature ranging between -25 degrees Celsius and +60 degrees Celsius and a storage temperature rating of between -40 degrees Celsius and +85 degrees Celsius. For the CX5120-0155 to reach optimal performance, it has to be supplied with an input voltage of 24 volts DC (-15%/+20%).
The CX5120-0155 has an ingress protection rating of IP 20. This protection rating implies that the embedded PC is protected against solid objects that have a maximum size of 12 millimeters but has no protection against liquids. The Beckhoff CX5100 series of embedded computers feature fixed number of system interfaces with an optional fieldbus slave or master interface. The interface can be configured in the factory to accommodate a range of signal types. The CX5120-0155 supports TwinCAT 3 runtime (XAR) control software.
