Product Description
Embedded computers have been the new order in the industrial space. The usage of these computers has been on the rise, enabling industrial applications to perform better and run more efficiently. Beckhoff embedded computers are used as industrial controllers and are small enough to fit in a control cabinet. Beckhoff embedded PCs employ an industrial motherboard manufactured in-house. To address various industrial needs, Beckhoff manufactures a wide range of embedded PCs with different processor speeds, number of cores, size, and processor types. Embedded computers in the Beckhoff CX500 group feature two types of Intel Atom® processors: Intel Atom® Z510 and Intel Atom® Z530.
The CX5020-1110 is an embedded PC in the CX5020 series of the CX5000 family designed and manufactured by Beckhoff. It has an Intel Atom® Z530 processor with a speed of 1.6 GigaHertz and a K-bus interface for bus terminals. For easier monitoring and troubleshooting, the CX5020-1110 features diagnostic light emitting diodes to monitor power, bus status, flash access, and TC status. With a 512 MB main random access memory, the computer can run heavy industrial applications. Note that the memory can be expanded up to 1 GB.
The Beckhoff CX5020-1110 has a maximum power loss of 12.5 Watts and has an input power rating of 24 Volts DC with an allowance of between -15 percent and 20 percent. With a weight of 575 grams, the embedded computer can be mounted on any surface on the industrial floor. For the CX5020-1110 to reach optimal performance, it has to be operated in an industrial environment with a non-condensing relative humidity not exceeding 95 percent.
