Product Description
The CX Series' Beckhoff Embedded PC CX5140-0175/000148737 has an Intel Atom® E3845 CPU with four cores and a clock speed of 1.91 GHz. Since customers can select the storage size that best meets their needs, this model has slots for CFast and microSD cards for storage; the cards are not supplied.
The CPU supports a wide range of operating systems, including Windows Embedded Compact 7, Windows Embedded Standard 7 P, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise versions from 2016 LTSB to 2021 LTSC, and TwinCAT/BSD. It comes with 4 GB of DDR3 RAM, which is not able to upgrade. It has four USB 2.0 connections for peripherals, one DVI-I port for video outputs, and two RJ45 ports that handle 10/100/1000 Mbit/s Ethernet. Depending on what the user needs for connectivity, an optional interface can be added. Through a reduction in mechanical complexity and the resulting drop in maintenance frequency, the passive cooling system improves system reliability. Well-developed diagnostic features are included, along with LEDs that show bus activity, flash access, TC on/off, and power on/off. This is a well-structured tree of services, which makes it very easy to monitor and debug.
With a removable battery, the device features an internal clock that provides the time and date information required for event logging and activity scheduling. The device features an E-bus and K-bus for the I/O connections, with automatic bus detection to effectively start and configure the system. With a maximum power usage of 16W and a 24 V DC supply voltage that fluctuates between -15% and +20%, it is appropriate for use in industrial applications requiring a steady power source. This device is sold by Wake Industrial and comes with a one-year warranty.
