The model CX1500-B310-0002 is an Embedded PC module designed for industrial automation. It integrates these systems into a PROFIBUS network that allows for communication as a slave device that can receive and process data from a master or send data back for further processing. This module is ideal for applications requiring reliable and efficient data exchange in industrial automation setups.
This CX1500-B310-0002 Embedded PC module supports PROFIBUS DP, DP-V1 and DP-V2 protocols with transmission speeds ranging from 9.6 kbaud to 12 Mbaud. It connects via a 9-pin D-Sub connector and can support up to 125 slave devices on the network. The model offers 244 bytes each for input and output providing ample capacity for parameter data, configuration and diagnostics per slave unit. The module connects to the CPU using a 16-bit ISA (PC104-Standard) interface and is equipped with a 2-kbyte DPRAM for efficient data handling. It consumes a maximum of 1.8 W in terms of power requirements and ensures low energy usage. It also has a compact form factor with dimensions of 38 mm x 100 mm x 91 mm and weighs approximately 190 grams.
The CX1500-B310-0002 Embedded PC module is designed to operate within an environment ranging from 0 °C to 55 °C with a storage temperature tolerance between – 25 °C and + 85 °C. It can withstand relative humidity up to 95 % without condensation and complies with various industrial standards for vibration and shock resistance (EN 60068-2-6, EN 60068-2-27/29) and EMC resistance (EN 61000-6-2, EN 61000-6-4). It features an IP20 protection rating that makes it suitable for use in controlled environments. The model integration with the Beckhoff TwinCAT software allows for straightforward configuration enabling it to serve as part of a larger networked automation system.
