Product Description
The Becker CX1030-0122 — Embedded PC from CX series for industrial and business applications. The unit uses Intel® Pentium® M processor, running at clock frequency of 1.8 GHz, this makes it practical for real-time control applications. The design of the processor is single core which therefore comes in handy in ensuring automation and control processes are stable and reliable.
This model features 256 MB of DDR RAM memory, which as a non-removable type can be increased from 0.25 up to 1 GB in applications in these modem more demanding industrial tasks. The system is fitted with a Compact Flash card slot where 128MB memory is provisioned but it is only as a non-exhaustive storage and extra data storage is available. The cooling system of the CX1030-0122 consists of a fan cartridge with incorporated speed control and quite standard two ball bearing fans whose replacements pose little or no problem in regard to efficient thermal dissipation and long term performance.
The PC provides two Ethernet RJ45 sockets for 10/100 Mbit/s with an internal switching hub. When diagnosing the active components in the system it is possible to see LEDs that serve to display power status, LAN link indicator activity, TwinCat status and the activity of the flash memories. Primarily, it operates using Windows Embedded CE 6 or Windows Embedded Standard 2009 while supporting TwinCAT 2 PLC runtime, NC PTP runtime and NC I runtime which allows considerable flexibility in terms of automation and motion control applications. It interfaces with the 16-bit ISA (PC/104) system bus and gets its power from the CX1100 power supply modules (K-bus, IP-Link or E-bus). The CX1030-0122 requires a maximum of 32 W power and is known to possess reasonable and creator performance level to handle mystic trouble. The provision for large bandwidth usage is also available through the Ethernet terminals (X000, X001) letting jumbo frames when using the original Intel® driver.
