The CX1020-0013 is among the most robust and versatile Embedded PC in the CX series intended for industrial applications. It utilizes Intel® Celeron® M ULV processor which contains core up to 1 GHz, an optimal clock speed for computation and control execution tasks in real time. The processor is single core based, thereby being ideal in applications that require stable and constant utilization of processing power. The CX1020-0013 has 256 MB recently DDR RAM which can be configured to 1 GB so as to have strong capacity performance in more complex and larger applications. Regarding storage, there is also a semi-permanent internal storage with Compact Flash slot having 128 MB included, and this storage is extendable thus there are no limits on where you can save the data required. This model combines two RJ45 Ethernet ports which are rated up to 10/100 Mbit/s and an internal switch to facilitate inter-connectivity among the devices on the LAN.

Furthermore, apart from the presence of Ethernet connection, the model CX1020-0013 has DVI-I connector that enables the user to connect either a digital or an analog monitor. The distance of the viewer from the device dictates the resolution of the image, with a range of about 5 meters for common interfaces to more than 50 meters with the use of Beckhoff’s built-in DVI extension technology.

Another important feature present in the CX1020-0013 is the internal clock with a battery backup. All clock functions are durable, even without power. It is based on Windows Embedded CE 6 or Windows Embedded Standard 2009 and is compatible with TwinCAT 2 and NC I PLC's runtime, NC PTP runtime, and NC I runtime, so it can be widely employed in various industrial control and automation systems.
