The Beckhoff CX1010-0010 is a powerful and compact Embedded PC in the series of CX from Beckhoff. It comes with a built-in processor of Intel® Pentium® MMX, running at a speed of 500 MHz with 1 core. The device integrates a memory of 256 MB DDR RAM, which is fixed and not expandable but enough for most industrial applications. Storage also contains a 128 MB Compact Flash card which is expandable.

The CX1010-0010 has flexible connectivity. On the other hand, it has a stable Ethernet interface maximum connection speed of RJ45 10/100 Mbit/s in industrial integration with easily achievable high data transmission rates between devices. The CPU is also incorporating a 16-bit ISA (PC/104) system bus to assure the possibility of great interaction with a number of modules. This makes it more flexible; the PC comes with 1Compact Flash type II insert with an ejector for easy system addition and modification. Designed in ruggedness, the CX1010-0010 uses passive cooling, thus noiseless operation, the right temperatures, where noise from fans would constitute a nuisance. Powered by the PC, it can run the software for TwinCAT 2 PLC runtime or even for TwinCAT 2 NC PTP runtime, handling a wide range of industrial processes with maximum efficiency. The maximum power consumption of 8 W is achieved for this power delivery, potential for this to be an energy efficient performance provided by the device and therefore being a suitable solution for today’s industrial automation.
