The CP6912-0001-0000 is a special single-touch control panel manufactured and commercialized under Beckhoff’s CP Panel PC series. As a built-in control panel, the CP6912-0001-0000 works best when installed inside a monitoring cabinet, where it can be protected from unintentional interference and damage. During operation, it is advisable to keep the CP6912-0001-0000 away from extreme environmental conditions, exceeding the recommended temperature and moisture. To maintain the integrity of the control panel, it is also recommended to install the control panel inside the cabinet that facilitates adequate air circulation for natural cooling.

The CP6912-0001-0000 incorporates various terminal sockets for establishing connections with other units and devices. In particular, the CP6912-0001-0000 draws power from an external 24 V power supply through its X 106 socket. During the first installation of the device, the CP6912-0001-0000 must first be grounded properly before connecting the cables and the supply unit. During operation, the CP6912-0001-0000 can tolerate minimal voltage fluctuations (20%/-15%) from the external source, provided the source is protected by a 4A UL248 fuse. Before using the CP6912-0001-0000, the control panel must have a protective grounding to protect the user from unintended electrical shock. To fulfill this purpose, one pin in the voltage socket of the CP6912-0001-0000 is dedicated for the protective earth.

Like other control panels under the CP69XX product line, the CP6912-0001-0000 also boasts extended DVI and USB 2.0 connectors. The USB 2.0 connector can facilitate a transfer speed of up to 480 Mbps. On the other hand, the DVI interface allows the reliable transmission of digital and video signals from a separate industrial PC with a maximum transfer distance of 50 meters. Aside from its built-in sockets and connectors, the CP6912-0001-0000 is also network capable and offers image processing capabilities.
