The CP6904-0021-0000 is derived from Beckhoff’s CP Panel PC series, specifically under the CP69XX product family. Similar to Beckhoff’s other built-in control panels, the CP6904-0021-0000 has six sockets, each serving a different purpose. The first socket, X 101, is dedicated for DVI input, while the second socket, X 102, is for an extended USB input. Socket X 103 is for another USB input, while sockets X 104 and X 105 are for USB outputs. Finally, the 5-pin connection socket, X 106, is for the 24 VDC power supply. The CP6904-0021-0000 also features a TFT display, ideal for producing sharp images at an appropriate resolution.

Depending on the control panel’s screen size, the display resolution may vary. In particular, for CP69XX control panels, there are five possible diagonal sizes and resolutions. The possible diagonal display sizes for CP69XX control panels are 5.7”, 6.5”, 12”, 15”, and 19”. Meanwhile, the possible screen resolutions for the CP6904-0021-0000 are 640 x 480, 800 x 600, 1024 x 768, and 1280 x 1024 pixels. The first two diagonal sizes can only reach a maximum resolution of 640 x 480 pixels. During operation, the CP6904-0021-0000 can process and display images via its extended DVI interface. Its USB interfaces provide a way to establish communication with other USB-ready devices.

As a single-touch built-in control panel, the CP6904-0021-0000 allows mounting via its clamping lever. The CP6904-0021-0000’s front housing features high-quality aluminum material with a protection rating of IP 65. With this protection rating, the built-in control panel is protected from accidental touch and intrusion of both particulates and liquids. The rear side, however, which contains the sockets and interfaces, only has a rated protection category of IP 20.
