CP6801-0001-0000 is an industrial control panel. It has a 12 inch touchscreen display that operators can use to monitor and control parameters for industrial processes. The control panel is part of Beckhoff Automation’s CP68xx series. It is designed for industrial applications that include plant engineering and machine engineering. The aluminum housing of the control panel contains the display at the front and communication and power interfaces at the back. A ground bolt for the protective ground connection is also located at the back side of the unit. Optional features for this line of control panels include PC keyboard and touchpad. The CP6801-0001-0000 control panel connects to an industrial PC. The DVI interface on the control panel support digital video and carries video from the PC to the control panel. The communication between the PC and control panel takes place over a USB Type B interface.

This interface can support up to 12 Mbps data transfer rate. Two USB type A interfaces allow connection of peripherals such as a mouse or keyboard. The CP6801-0001-0000 runs on 24 Volts DC supply and consumes 19 Watts. The power port is also at the rear side of the unit. There is no power switch: the unit turns on as soon as the power is connected. Dimensions of this control panel are 372 x 342 x 32 millimeters. Personnel working with the control panel must read relevant product documentation. Beckhoff does not permit its use in potentially explosive atmospheres. The control panel must be powered off before any connections are made. Protective grounding is important for ensuring safety of personnel and associated equipment. Ingress protection rating of the rear side of the unit is IP20.
