BX Bus Terminal Controller Series

The Beckhoff BX Bus Terminal Controller Series are designed to provide enhanced functionality for distributed signal processing and standalone applications. Distinguishing the BX series from the simpler BC series is significantly larger memory capacity, with 256 kBytes each of program and data memory allowing more complex and large programs. This expanded memory enables greater local data management, suiting decentralized processing and decision-making. In addition, the BX series boasts expanded interfaces compared to its BC counterparts, featuring two configurable serial ports and an Ethernet port for connectivity to serial and Ethernet-based devices and protocols. The integrated real-time clock also enables applications where date and time play important roles. These distinguishing features coupled with the versatility of Beckhoff’s bus terminal I/O system and TwinCAT automation software make the BX series well-equipped for a diverse range of control solutions.
