The BC9120 is a Bus Coupler with an Ethernet interface that features a wide range of applications and can be incorporated into any automation system. It is equipped with data memory with a capacity of 128 kbytes, a remanent data memory capacity of 2 kbytes, and a modem-supported data storage capacity of an extra 1 kbyte. It makes up for the power loss that would otherwise cause a loss of memory. The cycle time elapsed by the PLC corresponds with an output of 1000 instructions taking about 1 ms which entails rapid performance, although without the I/O cycle time of the K-bus.

The Workstation2 software package of BC9120 supports various programming languages such as IL, LD, FBD, SFC, ST following IEC 61131-3 standards which enlarge the possibility of programming.
