Product Description
AX5125-0000-0200 is a 1-axis, Digital Servo Drive. The hardware and firmware versions of this model are 2.0 and 2.06 respectively. This compact, servo drive comes from the well-known, BECKHOFF AX5000 family to work in EtherCAT based control systems and networks. The AX5125-0000-0200 has 2 x EtherCAT terminals X04 (IN) and X05 (OUT). A link/act (link and activity) indicating LED is also provided adjacent to each EtherCAT terminal. These LEDs can show different colors just like the ones which are found adjacent to general Ethernet ports.
Terminal X02 incorporated in this compact servo drive is for DC Link. You can use these DC+ and DC- points to connect an external drive system or brake resistor using appropriate cables. This digital servo drive can easily be connected with other drives through an optional component called AX-Bridge. You can supply power to redundant drive units using a single power supply AX5901. A maximum potential difference (voltage) of 890 V DC can be supplied by the unit through its DC Link.
The AX5125-0000-0200 offers scalable, precise motor current measurement. You can use motor current and temperature measurements to integrate safety controls through software. This model has two 24 VDC power supply channels so that you can use dedicated power supplies for the brake control and control electronics. This arrangement ensures the safe shutdown of the system. As far as its braking capabilities are concerned the AX5125-0000-0200 offers 200 W continuous braking power and the maximum braking power it can offer is 27 kW. It is an efficient drive and its typical operating conditions the power loss remains around 340 W. the rated peak output current for this unit is 50 A.
