AX5118-0000-0200 is a Servo Drive from the AX5000 series by BECKHOFF. The servo drives from this series are designed for speed, position, and torque control of suitable synchronous and asynchronous 3-phase current motors. The hardware version of this model is 2.0 and its firmware version is 2.06. The AX5118-0000-0200 is compatible with various other drives from the AX5000 series including AX5801-0200, AX57xx, AX5805, and AX5021. With this model, you will be able to control multiple types of motors provided that the rated motor current is 480 V maximum. BECKHOFF is also offering the AX-Bridge connection module (AX5912) for AX5125 and AX5118 on an optional basis.
The AX5912 is a power distribution module that offers connectivity for DC-Link, power supply, and the control voltage for AX5125 and AX5118. Moreover, an optional brake module (AX5021-0000) can also be attached to the AX5118-0000-0200. Using a bake module enables you to achieve additional braking power. This servo drive is fully compatible with EtherCAT – a feature that allows its easy and quick integration into existing EtherCAT systems. For this, the drive has 2 x Ethernet connectors for incoming and outgoing EtherCAT lines.
The optional expansion slots provided in this drive are designed to host a different type of expansion modules which can be acquired separately. Users can achieve their desired configuration by adding add-on modules according to the requirement of their system. The AX5118-0000-0200 weighs around 11 kg and its dimensional measurements are 185 mm, 274 mm, 232 mm (weight, width, height). This device is rated to operate at 36 A peak output current, 12 A minimum channel current, and 18 A output current. The internal brake resistor of this drive can provide up to 26 kW power.
