Product Description

The AX8620-0000-0000 is a power conversion unit for DC link voltage supply for motors and their auxiliary units from the mains voltage in a multi-axis servo system and belongs to the power supply module of Beckhoff’s AX8000 series. It accepts single phase inputs of 100 to 240 V AC and three phase inputs of 200 to 480V AC at the frequency of 50/60 Hz. It gives an output of up to 848 V DC with 5/7 A DC and 20 A DC for single phase and three phase respectively.

There is a built-in mains filter in the module which is certified under ANSI/IEEE C37.54, Category C3 and its functionality is tested for compliance with EN 61800-3. These circuits may require some extra electronics for dissipating the regenerative energy, either an internal resistor or in most cases an external resistor with a separate conduit. To avoid distribution of regenerative energy, the use of AX8810 capacitor module is possible.

For the DC Link, 24 V DC control voltage and EtherCAT communication, the normalized AX-Bridge connection does not require any tools and is self-evident without any assessments and saves time during normal mode of operation. Because of the given system bus using EtherCAT and the CiA402 drive profile, it provides smooth integration with the components of the system and its fast performance. The commissioning process becomes easy with TwinCAT 3 Drive Manager 2 for Instant Commissioning, and the various safety projects can be maintained using TwinCAT 3 Safety Editor TE9000 and TwinSAFE Loader/User TE9200. Conforming to operating conditions in temperature range 0 to + 40°C (up to +55°C with curtailment of load) the AX8620-0000-0000 is CE, cULus, EAC certified and industrialized in a way to meet the industrial safety and performance requirements.
