This AX5203-0000-0200 is a Two Channel Servo Drive from manufacturer Beckhoff’s AX5000 series designed for motion control applications. It combines functionality, flexibility and economy and therefore is very advantageous in multi-axis applications. It also incorporates a power supply unit, a DC link capacitor, and an EMC filter, making the installation of this servo drive straightforward with optimal performance.

The rated supply voltage for the AX5203-0000-0200 drive is 3×100… 480 V AC ±10% while the highest volt DC link is 875 V. Contact configuration for the rated per channel output of 3A and peak output of 10A facilitates the connection of synchronous, linear, torque, asynchronous and voice coil motors of diverse sizes. It should also be considered that the aggregate motor current of the device should also be taken into account while making connections.

The drive type motion controller features the EtherCAT system bus and so permits high speed communication and synchronization hence appropriate for real time control of motion systems. Feedback device integration for this motion control system includes SinCos 1 Vpp, resolver, EnDat 2.1, Hiperface, BiSS B, OCT providing precise MOT positions and operation. In addition, it also works without sensors on both types of motors: synchronous and asynchronous. In order to install and connect several AX5000 units easily in multi-axis setups, the AX-Bridge quick connection system combines DC link, 24 V DC control voltage, and power supply. The Drive also has the option of using the AXS58xx modules which allows for compliance with integrated safety requirements EN ISO 13849-1:2015 (Cat. 4, PL e) and SIL 3 output.
